How Many Days Late Is To Many Days Late????

I am hatching turkey eggs. 28 days was last wed. and we had one hatch on his due date. I have 7 more eggs to go. As of Friday none of the 7 had hatched, but they were rocking. I figured that when I came in on monday( hatching in science class) we would have some more chicks. Came in and nothing. 5 of the 7 are still rocking. I plan on letting them go till they hatch or there is no more moiving.

Here is my question- why would one hatch at 28 days and the others still be rocking at 32? I belive we ran a little cool the first week or so. Also I collected the eggs over a period of 12 days. I only have 2 hens. Would the collection time make a differnce? I dont want to give up on them.

The collection time would not make a difference unless a hen had been sitting on them and incubating them herself for a while... They are all about the same gestation when you put them in the bator if no hen has sat on them.... Now you probably ran the incubator a little to low and that is why develpement is taking longer and this could kill the chicks in the eggs if they can not develope enough before their fluid dries up and their yoke is gone... The one that made it on time might have been in a warmer spot in the incubator or had been kept warmer before incubation by maybe being in the sunlight or something like that... Hope they hatch for U and the kids...
