I'm confused.
Your muscles rebuild themselves after shredding them. They come back bigger, and stronger. If you continue breaking them down without time for them to rebuild, you are negating the workout. If your muscles are sore, rest them, and work on your arms, back, or chest.
 
Take the day. Muscle building works by tearing the muscle fibers and then letting them heal -- like how scar tissue is thicker and tougher than normal skin. However, the muscles need time to heal and thicken.

I just realized... it's kind of funny how exercise is one of those things where they tell you to not overdo it because you'll break something, but exercise is really technically all about breaking things.
You need to break stuff to make it stronger. They tell you not to do too much because you'll break something.
I mean, I get what they mean, completely, but it sounds kind of odd when one puts it like that, doesn't it...?
