How many do you set?

Hello all!

I have a sportsman, but even before I got it, I wanted larger hatches. I have asked people who I am swapping with if they would sell me additional eggs and send them all at the same time. I guess I like the odds better of something hatching from 15 eggs vs 6.

What do you prefer? And how do you do it?

I set 10 or 12 dozen every week when I can get that many eggs.... Most weeks I cant get that many

I have a sportsman also, didn't take long to fill it. I put in 5 dozen for me, then put the word out to the local chicken community I had room, now at 280

I typically have 2 sportsman incubators full all through spring and get down to 1 during the summer. We seem to always be hatching something, between chickens and game birds.

I feel kinda funny when it only has 12 eggs in it.

I would set a hundred if I could! But I can only do about 24 at a time

I set by the moon and i have two fan forced LG bators with turners so i can set anywhere from 80 to 160 eggs a month
