How many duck eggs did you get today?

2 eggs today
Candled the five eggs for the last time. All look fine.
Peggy still doing a great job.
Now we will see how well she handles hatching them out.

We’re debating on letting her raise them or putting them in a brooder.

If she raises them,
Pros- she has been great with these eggs, she is a fierce mama so far, it would be much easier on us, the ducklings would be seen daily by our flock
Cons- she is our smallest duck, she is a little bit gimpy, she won’t be able to protect them as well b/c of this

Glad its going well!
So where is she now? Can other ducks get to her? For a bit you might just want to keep her separated and safe from others.

Okay, well then I would keep her and the ducklings separated for a bit, so the ducklings can get bigger.

I'd let her raise them, since she's done all the work with sitting on them. I think it would be unfair to take them away.
