One of my 11 duck hens laid one like that a couple of weeks ago. I have some older hens and a mule duck and two not old enough to lay so not sure who laid it but it looked just like yours. It was hard shelled and I just figured it was from one of my older gals and was a fairy egg. It did not have a yolk in it but had clear liquid instead. It's somewhat softshelled now, and that's after presumably getting waterlogged which would make it harder to the touch. So yes, I think for sure it was a bouncy when it came out![]()
So sorry you are having all of this heat. I think you are getting yours and ours too!!! We are now in the 60's at night here in Ohio and 80's during the day and for August that is rather cool. I can only think what winter will be like if these cool temps keep it up. I hope all of your birds survive the heat.4 again but I am surprised they have not shut off totally. 31 consecutive 100+ days. 9 consecutive 105+ days and the forecast is for at least another 9 105+ in a row.
