How many duck eggs did you get today?

None! Peggy is broody.
She has been sitting on her nest and it is HUGE. 😂
My daughter marked seven eggs for her.
We do not need any more ducks, but she is our smallest and sweetest Blue Swedish duck. I’m not sure if she will even stick it out. Just letting her be. ❤️

I hope she has a good hatch!

@Tookie Thank you!
This is her first time, so only time will tell. Today, she ate and went for a quick swim and back on the nest.
I'm sure she'll do pretty well, its in their nature. Its my broody's first time as well. Your broody sounds like she's doing so much more than mine. Mine seems to never get up, LOL.

@Tookie
She doesn’t stay off long.
Yesterday, my daughter tried to count the eggs and check any unmarked while she was off the nest. She checked them,
but Peggy sat back on her eggs and hissed at my daughter. This duck is normally so chill and sweet.
She’s very protective of her eggs.
My daughter says she is turning them because the marks are being moved around.
What breed is your broody?

Haha, completely normal for broodies to hiss, and bite. That’s how mine is. And yes she is turning the eggs, that’s normal.
My broody is a Welsh Harlequin. Unfortunately all the eggs under her quit or weren’t fertile. But, one is for sure good and I bought an incubator for it cause she crushes eggs with weaker shells. And that egg is from my 10yo so her shells are weaker. I can’t believe her egg is fertile! I hope it makes it.

Only two ducks eggs,
because Peggy is still going strong. :celebrate
Although, she doesn’t even go for a swim anymore.
My daughter gently pulls Peggy off the nest (while getting bit) and sprinkles water from a watering can over her. Peggy shakes and fluffs and goes right back on the nest.
