I just got three new Call ducklings!

1864 + 3 = 1867!

3 permanent residents: 1 pekin, 1 khaki campbell and 1 cayuga.
Room for more when the water is high, but a safe number for a low pond.
I make do with all the migratory visitors, from Mallards to scaups, to teals. I enjoy their brief stay, and sometimes one even stays a bit longer, apparently needing to regain strenght prior to traveling on.

1867 + 3 = 1870 (we'll get to 2010 YET!)

I also have 48 baby (2 and 4 weeks old) muscovies with their mothers. One more muscovy sitting and hopefully that will be all this year!

Grand total here equals 59. Way less than what I had last year though, had well over a hundred then.
