We started out with a bunch of black runners a few years back, but they ALL gradually got picked off by skunks.

We tried so hard to patch holes in the enclosure and clear out any predators in the area. We ended up with only one sad, scared duck left. And a mirror. When we thought it was ok to let him back outside we did, and found his carcass a day or two later.

So anyway, last year we got 10 (I think) Khakis, and two blue runners for me. Well, I squished one of my runners with the water tub by mistake (heartbreaking. I was sure nobody was in the way when I put it down.) and a bunch of the Khakis got killed by some animal. So... that leaves us now with 6 year old Khakis, one year old blue runner (we had two Pekins that we sold), and three mixed ducklings that I just hatched! They're either Pekin X Khaki or Pekin X Blue Runner.

Oh, I forgot. We got 10 new Khaki babies two or three weeks ago! I wanted to get more runners, by Dad didn't orer me any.

But that gives us a total of 19 duckies!

I have 6 Pekins,
and 6 Khaki Campbells.
