Eggs cartons are amazing little containers, but for the poultry owner, they can be hard to get obtain.
We really on friends, neighbors, colleagues for cartons but sometimes our sources run dry.
So we hoard them in the back of the laundry room.

Friends, neighbors and people who buy eggs from me return their cartons and donate their grocery store cartons during the winter when my girls are taking their cold weather vacation.

Anyone who gets eggs from me gets a printout that explains about the possibility of bacteria on used cartons and the need to wash eggs before use (because I don't wash the
eggs before sale), but no one seems overly concerned. In today's world, a used egg carton doesn't seem too threatening, I guess.

I store eggs for my own use in reusable hard plastic cartons I can wash.

I had a stack of the cardboard 30 count trays, and when I sold eggs to the neighbor and her family I asked that they please return the trays.. Think they did it? Now I'm down to one tray, a deviled egg tray and lots of buckets of eggs. NTM those I popped in the incubator.
