Well, technically, I have 13 hens, but two haven't started laying at all yet, and 1 is on hiatus because she's busy with her chicks. So out of 10, I got 52 eggs last week.
Since I've had my hens I've let them free range and have averaged in the high 20's as far as egg production goes, but since I've built a run it seems their production has dropped to the low 20's. So I've come to the conclusion that free range hens are alot happier and more productive than when enclosed, has anyone one else experienced this?
I got 35 eggs from 7 hens last week. My total for the month of February was 150 eggs.
TRUNKMAN: I definately get more eggs when they free range! Too bad the snow is keeping them in for the past 2 months
I hope they can come back out by the end of this month!
