3/4 My Giant Black is brooding a nest... so my understanding is she won't lay! But my barred rock left her an egg today while she was off the nest.

An even dozen. That's not so great, I have 24 hens. Broodiness is so contagious, here, I should be thankful for whatever I get.

5 hens, 3 eggs… the 2 RIR's always leave a large egg each, but only 1 BO leaves a small one, and she's broody all day.
