i got 7 from 13 hens 10 hens are a year and a half old the other 3 are 6 months. sometimes i get a bakers dozen a day.

FOUR!!!! It was our first four egg day. My husband called me at work and said one of the eggs was "strange" because it wasn't the usual color. Two of our girls have only been laying a week, so I thought it might be something they were still working out. Then, when I got home, I checked the nest boxes and found the egg from our Cuckoo Maran, so I knew the "strange" egg was from a new layer. Now, we just have to figure out who!
