4 from 20. Is there anything I could do to raise it. The girls have been slacking off for close to a month and I can't afford it.

I give up on mine I did the 3:30 AM light on to give them the time under the light, added a little extra laying pellets and still no eggs out of 20 hens. They have worn me out and I am just going back to the old ways let them out at 7 am to free range no more getting up at 3 am for no eggs. They will lay when they get good and ready.

Some are 11 months some are 12 months old and 2 are a year and 1/2

but i have heard of that. maybe keep them...or just get more flock. evetually they have to lay...
