6 well 7 kinda.
i found one in the run and it was dirty and
hard telling how long it had been there so
to the trash it went. so i got 7 but not really.
2! For the first time! My first two egg day! One from my little red girl who has been laying almost 3 weeks now and my very first egg from (I assume) one of my White Leghorns. The WL and the buttercups look "ready" but I would guess the WL.
Can't wait until I get a 3 egg day! Let's not even discuss what will happen when I get a 14 egg day. I might die.
I stopped counting 10-11 a day average. I have 27 hens and I'm not happy. My bantam friz i haven't seen in the nest. One dominique is being treated and hasn't lain anything. 2 cuckoo marans not seen laying 24 wks. 3 cm's too young. one bantam red coching now brooding three eggs as of two days ago.
11 of the hens are almost a year old, the other 19 are 24 weeks old today. I know my EE is laying because I'm finding beautiful blue eggs, and I know my SSH isn't yet laying since I'm not finding any white ones. The rest could be coming from any combination of the others.
Good thing I've found a few regular egg customers. Our family of 5 couldn't eat that many no matter how we tried.
I have 14 hens and lately I have been getting 2 or 3 per day. But I just slaughtered a bunch of meat birds and I think my coop was a little over populated for about two weeks and I think the ladies went on strike.
