How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 7 eggs out of 5 hens, We encourage then and thank them for the eggs and give them treats, they do not have a heat lamp as hay does just fine and we put olive oil of their combs and they have a blast! We just got a little snow and they loved it! As i always say "Happy chickens lay more eggs"!

Wow! how did you get 7 eggs? Double-yolker? Or were they from yesterday?

it's been two days, and boy i am up to my eyeballs in eggs!! Here's a pic of two days worth of eggs from 10 hens!! I think there's 20 eggs. Good job girls!

Pretty!!! Really Pretty!!!

Well, mine aren't so pretty but the Gals have pushed on past the 16 eggs they've been giving us for the past few days and yesterday I found 18. We have 24 BSL's and they just started laying on 12/1.

Jim:

We are on the same schedule. My 25 girls are really starting to produce as well. Last week 70 eggs, this week on track for 90!

Here's a pic of the last two days' collections, minus four for what we used this morning:

And that's some of the last of the honey we got from our other Gals this past fall. We have seven hives this year and hopefully all will make it through the winter. Last year we had three hives and only one survived. But Teresa captured two feral colonies and then split them a couple of times over the summer so we ended up with seven. This year we've been feeding them and we've put in a bottom board and a reducer with a small entry on each hive to help keep it warmer inside. The bees do a good job regulating the temp inside the hive but a little help is greatly appreciated. We would've had a lot more honey left but Hurricane Julie (our Darling Daughter) blew through and absconded with several quarts to give to her friends without asking first. I made sure her name made it to Santa's naughty list early on this Christmas...
