1/7 and 2/3 I still have three brooding on one egg.

9/12 yesterday but still had a broody hen yesterday (a 6-month-old BA). I was happy to see she was off her next this morning after about 23 days of brooding!

Ok they DO stop laying when they molt. Feathers are everywhere... even from the rooster!

Upped the protein today via steak I was given... gave them theirs chopped/raw and cooked my part. Cat was mad she didn't get any.

Hopefully it will help with faster feather fill in and possible restart my eggs. If not will know it is stress from Mr Buddy Boy's attentions.

Need more chickens for him.

9/25 yesterday but not complaining since they're not all laying just yet and we had a dozen two days in a row plus a day w 14 and a day w 10. We took 7 dozen eggs to town Wednesday. Much happier.
