10/6???
Yes that's correct! Here is the thing, we found five extra eggs today behind our hay stack? Now I'm assuming one hen has been doing this. My question is the eggs could have only been there for 2 weeks Max as that is when we started to let them free range. Are they going to be good to eat or have they been out to long?
I did a little research on this and most places said they should be fine for up to 2 weeks. The bloom on the egg protects it from contamination and if a hen is laying a clutch of eggs for incubation it would likely take her at least 10 days to lay enough anyway. The eggs are still viable until she starts to incubate. If the temperatures where you are have been anything like they are here in Northern California, it has been near refrigerator temps anyway. If you have any doubts though, the safest thing would be to toss them. Any chance they have been incubated and might have embryos in them?

No

No chance, no rooster around:) I did the sink test and they all sunk to the bottom like a suction. So I won't sell this batch but I sure will eat them! Thanks for all the help.
