8/9 yesterday and today.

Just went out to check on the girls and found another egg! 9/9 for the first time ever!

I have had chickens for many years and have never had a day where they all lay an egg.

I got 3 eggs today, but I think that one of my black sex link pullets laid her first egg! One of the eggs was laid on the floor of the coop, under the nest boxes. It was not even 1 & 1/2 ounces in weight. My 3 hens always lay eggs well over 2 & 1/4 ounces. The small egg was partly frozen and had a whole in it about the size of a nickel. I am hoping that no one was taking a taste! The egg is a very pale tan color, or a dark off white. Does anyone know what color egg a Black sex link hen lays?

I have 2 other Black sex link pullets the same age and 2 ameraucanas the same age. I didn't think I would get eggs from them until early March or maybe even April. So now I'm really eggcited!
