How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Last night I locked up all the hens in the run so no free range chickens all day and it made a big difference in the egg total for the day by as much as a third again as many egg's for this evening's count .....

The crows were just upset all day now I know how many egg's they get so I am letting the free range hen's out in the morning as the crows might leave and the hawks take more then egg's .....

3 out of 4 chickens. Alfalfa pellets finally seem to be helping in the fermented feed. The oyster shells were not helping fast enough but are still offered 24/7

I use the Alfalfa pellets in my fermenting feed but for the oyster shells I picked up a blender at a thrift store and grind up the oyster shells along with any egg shells and all of it gets mixed right in but one thing I did notice it takes very little Alfalfa pellets as it seems to grow more then five times its original size ....

I did notice they EXPAND also. I did not realize I could add the egg & oyster shells to the off. Do you have a ratio or recipe for alfalfa to layer feed?
