I agree completely, plus it was the 3rd day in a row!8 out of 8 I would call that a great day

The past 2 days it has only been 1/4 and they have both been from my beautiful BSL Don't understand it.....my RIR had layed 5 eggs per week for the 2 weeks leading up to the day that my BSL started laying again (all 4 of my ladies just finished a moult), as soon as the BSL started laying my RIR's production has slowed WAY DOWN This week I only got 2 eggs from her.
Only 4 today from 8 hens, unless there are more when I get home from work tonight.
It is only 3:35 pm but so far we have had 2/4 today. My ever-faithful BSL and one of my SLW's. Just wondering what is up with my RIR? Haven't seen an egg from her since either Mon or Tues? Is it normal when coming out of a moult for one hen to stop laying or slow down tremendously when the others start laying?

Try adding meal worms to their diet
How much mealworms? We did buy a bag the other day for our chicks, but the hens are REALLY ENJOYING them as well, but we have only been giving a couple of tablespoons for all 4 ladies. Should I give more? Is there a less expensive way to buy them than in the bag at the feed store? We paid $5 for a small bag.
. I'm curious, how do the crows get to your nesting boxes? Are they flying into the coop?
