How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6 from 6 which isn't normal. I have one I adopted and I am pretty sure she is not laying but every so often I get 6. seems like if I spruce up the yum yums with some mac and cheese or other goodies I get the extra egg. hmmmmmm

I have six hens only two are laying age and ever since I had them I get 2/2

2/8 then found 1 broken do 3/8 today. Also I have red mites. Great. I get to treat them all and clean out the coop. One hen has them really bad.

Again 6 chicken egg's for the day

My 23 week old EE hen hatched out her first chick late this afternoon just before dinner and the egg hatched out only 20 days after momma hen started sitting on her egg's steady ......





After looking around for the last couple of weeks I found a nest one of my RIR hens was has been using and there was 19 egg's in the nest and three were guinea egg's and 14 RIR and 2 EE egg's .... I put the guinea egg's in the incubator to see if her egg's are fertile yet ......

Sure does sound like the solstice is in full swing out there in eggy land! Lots of people posting of hens laying for the first time and lots here getting hens laying like crazy!
And babies hatching early.
I had ducks, and so did some one else...that hatched two days early.

I have 10 hens and not had any eggs past few days any ideas what could be the reason ?
I wonder if there eating them if so what's the cure I tried curry powder in a empty shell and rubber egg but no change , there eating and drinking well

I put out some clay egg's and had to mark them as they look and fell so real ,,, anyway the chickens will peck on them and soon leave the egg's alone and another thing always have some kind of feed available even if it is cracked corn to brake up the boredom .....

Oh and the egg's I got from e bay ..... Look so real the crows will steal them ......

Another thing I do if I catch the culprit is send them on a field trip to freezer camp
