How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Two eggs this morning. Both in the same nesting box, both a tad undersized at 1.3 oz.

Can't wait to check later and see if there are any more!

Waiting...waiting...waiting is HARD!

There is the span of a two-car garage between the back door and the entrance to the equipment bay that has the coop in the back. This is probably why I have not yet heard the Egg Song. I'll be looking to pick up a netted gazebo so I can sit out there without being eaten alive by the flies. THEN I will hear it for sure!

1/1 that makes 5 eggs in 7 days from my BA Penguin. She's awesome except that she doesn't lay in the nest box :/ And now that she's a pro at laying I hope maybe tomorrow she begins working on making them bigger!!

6/6 but one didn't have a full shell, so I'm not going to celebrate that all six pullets are laying yet.

Sigh...another soft eggshell which makes me wonder if someone is having problems. It's happened 4 days in a row I think...never in the next box always under their perch...
So today it's 1/6.
We also have brought a new girl in the flock and unless she is laying somewhere other than the coop nest box has gone 2 days with no eggs. I suspect she is still getting used to our yard and the other hens.

I was finding soft shelled eggs under the roost too, almost every day. They were lighter in color, probably from one of my BO or BA.. It seems to have stopped after about five days.
I don't think I've had a soft or no shell egg in a couple of weeks now.
My pullets are going on 22 and 23 weeks.
