How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

1 our of 4 yesterday. What the?? It snowed all day on Tuesday so not sure if that had a role in the lack of eggs on Wednesday but this is the lowest egg total in weeks! I gave them some meal worms, snowblowed paths, and placed hay on the paths to try and make them as happy as possible in hopes of more eggs today. I wonder if they know I'm sucking up to them??

I got 2/3 eggs today but the one who didn't lay was the only one who layed yesterday so she deserves a day off. My buff Orpington has recently started laying eggs with very dark brown speckles, they look like moles. Has anyone else had this happen with a breed that typically doesn't lay speckled eggs?

I have a Buff Brahma who's my newest layer of the bunch that lays a completely freckled egg. Sticks out from the rest of the flock.

This is the dad a Frizzle bantam

this chicks great grandfather was a white frizzle, I owned him but gave him away a year and a half ago, yes it only takes that long to be a great grandfather in chickendom.

She is so cute.....and I'm pretty certain that I NEED a frizzle.
