That makes me cold just thinking about it! We are sposed to get cold this week, but nothing compared to your temps. Stay warm! (if they had a shivering smiley I would insert it lol)

I found a pic of my mystery bantam girl from this past fall when I first got her...She was broody along with the Brahma lol

Only pics I have of her at the moment

Oh yeah almost forgot 23/39 today

Oh Lord have mercy, she is a beautiful beautiful little sweetie!!! Thank you for posting!!! I sure wonder what breed she is. Does she have a pea comb? It looks like she is Lavender?? Georgous!!

Congrats on the first egg... That's a great feeling.... Unless your procrastinating husband fails to get the coop built before that monumentous occasion and you find said first egg hiding in your closet of the spair room that was turned into brooder with YOUR FOOT!!!

Thanks! Her comb looks more like a rose comb I think (I don't know a lot about rose combs though so...) Same goes for color. When it's not raining so much I'll try to get a better pic. (Hopefully she'll let me get kinda close...she's very shy)

You have the worlds most creative poultry!

I know right!?!? At least your girl knew well enough to go into a building even if it didn't belong to her...initially lol

18/25/30
9 brown
5 white
3 blue
1 olive

I tripped, smacked the egg basket on the ground, on my way to down to greet mother earth with my face and broke half the eggs.....it's been a lovely day.....

This is Miss Lulu, she made her way back to the duck's quarters to lay an egg....only, she didn't lay an egg. But she did sit there for quite awhile. I captured a picture from the comfort of my living room via "duck cam"
