How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 8!! I thought I only had 7 laying, but my broody with the month old chicks left me an egg today! I wasn't expecting that. I also had to catch one of the chicks to put it up with mom cause it was it was afraid to cross the snowy yard with her.

Shoot, I culled 7 Cream legbar roo's from 3 hatches a few months ago... I would have gladly given you some of those. I'll bet someone has some spares from hatches they would be willing to give you. So sorry you got a sterile roo.

How many CCL hens do you have? I had bad luck with 3 hatches, ended up with only 3 pullets (2 were half Easter egger), and only one beautiful CCL pullet. I am collecting her eggs and hoping to bring my hens up. I have 3 old ones, One who has a giant comb and no crest, and one perfect young one. I'm hoping to have better luck this year.

I bought a breeding <-----(yeah, right) trio. 2 hens, the rooster. I was just getting started.
