How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

13/23 - 4 from EE crew. We culled and processed our 2nd in command rooster after a big brawl between the two roo's. Forty minute fight, we have video camera pointed that way. Both were very bloody.

Hope the girls can get back to focusing on laying now that drama is over.

Whoa, I wonder if this is going to end up happening in my barn yard too. I have the top roo, and his son (heir and the spare). That older roo kicks that 5 month old roo all over tim buck two. So far little roo looks unscathed, but it sounds like that could change rapidly!

Is your older roo ok? Is he healing up?

Well... 4/7 yesterday... To early today to call but I know I've got eggs and chicks on the brain.... Dreamed that I found a stash of eggs that hide over 30!!!! Then they started to hatch...
. Talk about crazy dream lol... My husband would of flipped...

Was so real I went over the whole yard today to make sure it wasn't my subconscious telling me something lol

I had a dream about having apts. all over the country and my husband and I traveling back and forth to them all. I also dream about my chickens nightly.

Havn't posted for a while but been getting an average of 17 eggs a day for the last week not bad from 23 ladies

14/27 so far today .. just ordered 25 wht. rocks & I roo due to be here on the 26th... they should be a good table bird along with the eggs..

Finally hit double digits temps without a wind chill warning and all 6 eggs were cracked and oozing from freezing.

16/24 today, had a little sunshine to brighten spirits, but still was really cold.
