How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Four yesterday and seven today

Got 3 eggs from my 5 GC. 1 of them hadn't started laying yet and the other started laying last week but then just stopped.

He sure is beautiful! I loved watching a video of him! Those feet don't slow him down one bit!! He even manages to scratch the earth for goodies.

He acts like he is going to be a good roo. Did I see him already looking out for danger and warning the flock? That is amazing for how young he is.

Your hens are beautiful and very healthy looking.

I also liked listening to your accent. It was like listening to my aunts and cousins back home. Thank you for sharing.

what do you get for your eggs?? I was thinking about starting to sell them. I have the 5 GC right now but I have 10 chicks that are 6 weeks old.. I'll have more eggs than I know what to do with after they start laying.

Got 11 today. Sold three dozen. The weather has been incredible today. And yesterday. Tinkering in the yard and scoping out the garden!!!

How much do you get for your eggs? I feel guilty to charge to much, but holy moly... the price for crappy eggs at the store are outrageous! Do your customers recycle their cartons? Do you buy new cartons?

4 brown (good ol' Red Stars)
1 Cream (Torpedo egg from "The SS Limpy", Speckled Sussex)
2 White (from the "never let me down" White Leghorns
5 Blue (from 2 Cream Legbars, 3 Easter Eggers)

Tomorrow is lock down for Cream Legbar eggs, which are notoriously hard to hatch. I'm so negative about it that I am having trouble being motivated enough to set up my brooder. I guess if I do, and nothing hatches, I can go to the feed store and buy a few Red Stars and White Leghorns (my favorite), so I won't have a sad depressing empty nest. Woe is me.....
