Dumb bird.... Sat a nest for a week then jumps up today and runs off. I'll check the eggs in an hour.

My six RI Red/white rock hybrids are just about 26 weeks old. I got my first egg last Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I got two eggs. Saturday and Sunday I got THREE eggs. I am happy to report that today I got FOUR eggs!!! Doing the happy dance.

I got another egg today. Mine r just starting to lay right now looks like i got 1 shining star and 15 free loaders. It has to be the same hen she has layed in the exact same spot. Now to find out who she is lol. An egg everyother day it looks like until she regulates..it's fun finding gifts in the coop

5/6/7 today... I lost 6 babies today... They have made the 10 min trip down the road to mom-in-laws this afternoon. Got a look at the coop... OMG!!!! Can we say small! Good thing the girls are only 8 weeks old. She needs a bigger one ASAP. The waterer she got is half the size of the coop! Then again she got the 3gal waterer lol... I told her I would bring her one of my 1 gals and steal the 3gal. She said no. Meanie.
