Things that make you go hmmmmm..........Small Coop 4/5 leghorn eggs; Large coop 4/7 possible layers. 4 one year old Red Comets , two 21 week (today!) Buffs and a 21 week old Brahma. The Red Comets all lay in the same nest, the other three nests have been ignored until this week, there is evidence of some nesting activity in two of the other nests. This afternoon found three normal brown eggs in the usual nest and then......1 pinkish brown egg in another nest...hmmmm......
Egg on the leftside of towel is a shade lighter and a little pinkish( it's also rounder), was found in different nest. The three on the right I'm fairly certain my Red Comets laid in their usual nest. In the background , a weeks worth of eggs!

Oh well, at least all six are laying so far. My last easter egger to lay hasn't laid her second one but we are pretty sure she laid a few days ago her first one. I am pretty sure I ended up with three green eggs that day. Granted one was cracked so had to throw that one away.
