10 eggs today! Actually got 2 from the EE coop! Yeah!!

Now that is a good gathering for the day... You asked earlier about the eggs in my incubator well the total number is 19 but they were not all put in the same day but rather as I collect them so the eggs are hatching on different days .........

I have 10 that should be hatching on the 11th. I won't be surprised if they are a day or so later, the temps here have been jumping all over the place outside which is effecting the temps inside. The incubator has varied from 98 (maybe 97) to 100. Usually it stays real steady, so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping for a good hatch with lots of pullets!!

3 so far today, should find another at some point hopefully. I have 4/10 laying right now

6 eggs today. The last few days all the eggs have been brown. The green & blue layers are taking a break I guess. It makes sense, they are in the unlighted coop.

Up to 11 for the day out of 14. Funny story: my son is in a wheelchair, he likes to go out to the coop and bring in any eggs after school. I go in and get the eggs and put them in the side pocket of his backpack. Well evidently I forgot to take them out when we got to the house Friday. He came home all laughs because the teacher had to take them out so they didn't crack! OOPS

How do you know who is laying eggs and who isn't? I have 16 hens and they started laying eggs about a month ago. First week I was getting about 3 daily. Four weeks later and I'm getting 8 eggs a day, so only half of them are laying eggs. How do I find out who isn't? And what can I do to help?
