9/14 so far today. Not sure if it is accurate. Been feeling lousy and never did a late check on the coop last night.

I got my first egg today from my second flock. My son was so excited about the egg because he just built me laying boxes yesterday for that coop, for my birthday present from him.

So we have
7/8 from the Cowboy Coop (one of these hens has never laid an egg yet so still waiting on her)
1/8 from the Fox and the Hound Coop (hoping the others follow Big Mama's lead real soon)

We have another flock as well but they are gonna still be awhile as they are only 11-13 weeks old.

5/14 this morning one light brahma was being a pest picking on a bard in the nest, I use one of my extra large plastic dog crates as a table in the coop so the brahma is in it kinda a jail for pesky birds.

okay had to go out left the son at home (33) he went out found 4 eggs in one nest so now at 9/14 may have more later

I've caught 2 of my RIR pullets on the nest today. I'm hoping that means I have 10 laying hens but the end of the day!! So far the count is 6 chicken eggs (one was a broken soft shell, I think was the first RIRs, so that leaves us with 5) and 1 duck egg.
