How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

3 eggs from 6 hens.  It was a slow day. /img/smilies/hmm.png

I am brand new to this site and I'm a new chicken mom. I started in march this year. I'm not sure how to post my own thread so I'm commenting on yours for lack of knowing. I need eggs and 8 of my girls are 33 weeks old and only two are laying. 5 that where given to me where laying 4 - day until about 2 months ago now nothing. What could be the problem. I also bought two cuckoos that where laying when I got them a month ago and now they've stopped. ???

im not sure if I'm posting right but I need help getting my girls to lay. Out of 18 hens two are only 20 weeks (speckled Sussex), 7 are 33 weeks and only 2 laying, 2 cuckoos who where laying when I bought them and now they've stopped, 2 partridge Cochins that are 28 weeks not laying yet. I get two to three eggs a day. One from a leg horn and 2 from two barred rocks. What are the other girls problems.

Light molt and seasonal light change for the oldies.

The young ones are just that, young. No real pattern yet, combined with shorter days. Hang in there.

6 out of 11 so far today. Got 8 yesterday, and 7 the day before that.

I only have two adult chickens so far- and two of them are laying. Today my australorp girl gave me 2, so in total I received 3 eggs .

18 -45 weeks depending on breed and season and overal living conditions. Nithing is set in stone.

I'm so sorry. Any way they can stay in till the threat is gone? We were talking about that this weekend.

Yes, they were kept in today, except for a half hour or so this evening while I watched over them. I've ordered bird netting to cover their large pen (65x32) so hopefully this will never happen again.

fxing never again! Went to the hatchery this morning and was gone most of the day. Came home and one of the EE was on other side of the run fence! She was so scared. Not sure if she flapped and accidentally got over or if she dust bathed a hole to outside. I've seen parts where this could happen but none have done this before. Hoping nothing will happen again like this. Very scary:/ husband will put net and we will raise run not to mention have to dig fence deeper.
