How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

7 eggs!!!! We have a new layer but not sure who it is, it had a crack in tip of it.
Haven't had 7eggs since 26 November
(Onward sad note our new buff orpington from poultry show got horribly pecked by one of the GLW got at same show, pulled BO out till healed. BO needed a bath due to matting feathers so she got the total spa treatment today)

It's currently 0C (32F) So much better!

we are sitting at 11 today but to correct from yesterday we ended at lucky 13
bakers dozen so may see others about 9 pm when we lock them in for night

Chicken eggs 5

Temp's Cold morning only 27 F degrees this morning and all the water hoses were frozen till late this afternoon, by 10 AM the temps got up to 62 F degrees with a slight wind coming up from the south so we had clear skys but ether way that is cold for us ....

Nice to see you are spending some time with your family during the holidays I know it sure can make a person feel better inside .. So has your daughter got a drivers licenses yet and I can defiantly understand her fear of driving on icy roads ..


It was down to 27 F degrees this morning so I am guessing winter is here now and that is cold for here .

Hi Gander, It's always good to spend time with my family

I don't know if either of my parents will be alive this time next year, so I am definitely spending time with them. They will be moving into assisted living by the 5th of January and it is a BIG transition for them. But, both of them seem to be improving some health wise.
Yes, my daughter got her driver's license this past August, right before she left for college. She drove up to my work today so that she could come out to Grandma & Grandpa's with me. She'll have to get up before 6 AM to ride back to work with me in the morning, but then she can go home and sleep more if she wants to,

My hubby said that I did not get any eggs today

. He's been a good sport trying to take care of my 3 different coops plus the meat chicken pen. Not really something he enjoys doing, but he does it for me so that I can spend more time helping my parents. Tomorrow I think we are suppose to get back into the 40's!!
