I won't eat the eggs that land on poop board.there soaked in POOP! I do feed them to my dogs.

Really? I bet my dogs will get more eggs. At least it won't be the ants.

1 egg from 8 chickens! 4 are in molt, 3 are about 21 weeks and i am waiting and one little leghorn gave us a teeny white egg.

I am totally confused. I have 6 Buff Orphington hens and they will be 5 months old this week. I have one hen giving me 1 small egg a day. The other have not as yet started. I have been getting almost 1 egg daily for about 2 weeks now. When will the others start and why have then not yet? Confusing these chickens are for sure. BTW, this is the first time I have ever had chickens. Thanks for any advice.

They can take a while. Could be another month or so.

I really love her funny "hat" She has to flip that thing to the other side every time she wants to look at me. So funny.

@GC-Raptor I was getting broken eggs under the roost too and then we got ants. It seems less frequent these days but I'm adding a poop board which will also keep the eggs from breaking. I hope.

Yeah, same as yesterday. One broken under roost and one in nest at 5am, but found 3 at 9am.
4/5 good eggs today.

This works good for ants. . I sprinkle along all 4 sides of floor and along bottom of doors, weekly when I clean coop. GC

Thanks! Do you sprinkle inside or outside? Sometimes my girls lay their eggs in a corner on the floor.
