Oh my word there is video! I really used to wish i could knit now I'm glad i can't just in case the urge to do something like that hit me.

WE HAVE A SECOND LAYER!!!!!
Since October, the only one laying has been a BO named Jody.
This morning I found TWO eggs! The most likely layer is another BO named Buffy who has been pancake-squatting for a few weeks and whose comb and wattles have bloomed incredibly in that time.
17 degrees, winds whipping with 40mph gusts.
And I was like a kid on Christmas morning.

Twenty degrees Fahrenheit, wind chill around ZERO.
Chickens out scratching around 5 minutes, huddling under coop for 15. Then repeat.

Just one from the Delaware it felt normal but i boiled and peeled it and the shell was paper thin. That girl is all over the place with egg size/quality here lately. Big white weirdo, but i like her.

4. One was under the roost at 10:30 when I went out which means it was there a good part of the night most likely. It is cracked and will be fed to the chickens. Two in nest boxes at 10:30. Another in a nest when I got home at ~5:30. Wish I knew when that one was laid, it could well be frozen and not useful as people food. It had no cracks though so when I need an egg I'll open that one first and see what is inside.
