How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Found a hidden nest up in some hazelnut bushes in the chicken yard about 28 eggs but most had sunk in the bowl some very old.. 11 in the coop.. and had crazy white dog found her way into the chicken yard the very cockerel my lavender ameracauna boy I thought to cull as sterile maybe lead her to him, him calling to his girls to run.... No punctures but feathers from tail to back gone not showing meat though.. I can check him better tonight actually put hand on him what a good boy cooked up large 36 eggs 3 cups of oatmeal will separate in dishes make sure he gets a good quantity in the morning @snow5164 always great to have new here if your not sorry my neglect and lack of brain waves at times

I think I got 8 eggs. LOL. Not very many for 30+ chickens, will be glad when the broodys hatch their eggs.

I have one the lavender ameracauna pullet she has been broody twice this is second time we had built a cockerel coop years or so ago will toss her in with tomorrows eggs let her sit on at least 6 if they hatch I will keep him otherwise not

Morning :frow2/3 so far but i found an egg by my washing line last night so I think Clemantine is laying in the garden. I have to let her and Matilda out otherwise they dont' give the mums and chicks any peace! I'm tempted to make a little garden nesting box for her so I can actually find the things! Saw some cute wooden ones online that look easy enough!

I saw your other thread - lovely looking bird! I'm seriously considering keeping one rooster to be able to breed. I have an Araucana young roo who while doesn't let me anywhere near him also seems to be a good disposition (and I saw the flock he came from - the roos seem very calm).

My cockerel is Lavender ameracauna he did such a great job of protecting his girls
he is not my pet we have an understanding

Thank you. She's fast and become my hubby's favorite. Says she looks like a Phoenix. Good luck with the breeding. :thumbsup
