I have 6 main coop 3 from silkie

after doing some sreaching meyer sent a Lakeshore Egger

Congrats! That bird is clearly not a White Rock. They are quite full in the chest.

I only got 8 today and 1 was thin-shelled. I broke it when I picked it up, so I tossed it into the coop on the ground. If they didn't get down to eat it this evening, they will in the morning. I did add oyster shell to both coops this morning when I let them out. I guess that was good timing!

If it was that thin it likely wasn't just a general lack of calcium. How old is the bird? I've had a few that started laying very thin to no-shell eggs when they got older despite 24x7 access to oyster shell. I figure the shell gland just gets worn out.

10 today, 3 of the older girls and 7 if the 8 pullets.

I got 11 today including a first green egg from one of my EEs! Four more EEs and one more FBCM to go then they will all be laying.

I got 14 eggs. I have 17 hens. 3 hens stopped laying about 2 or so years ago.

I'm not sure which bird laid it, but most of the birds in that coop are only around 1 or under. There were no thin eggs today.
