How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

i dont know how many i should get sometimes 1 sometimes 5 eggs i have 9 chickens

Then that is what you are supposed to get! My chickens all have their own patterns. Even if I get the same number of eggs 2 days in a row it is highly unlikely they will be from all the same girls.

Its possible but I don't think so. I checked around pretty carefully because they are all just starting to lay and I want to make sure they are all laying in the boxes. Didn't find anything but these were all in the boxes today.

A few years back I had a hen that laid 2 a day 2 times a week or more. She laid a green egg while all the others were brown egg layers. This went on for a few months. At first I thought I was just missing them but it got too regular. And I started throughly checking.

Depends on rather you want them to brood. I’ve heard frozen water bottles in their nest works. I’ve never tried this as I didn’t mind them being broody. If you want them broody separating them works the best as other hens will lay in the nest and cause too much confusion.

One for six again today. 64 grams. Blondie, the other 3 year old Faverolles squatted today. So far I have one layer, one molter, 3 squatters and Tezza, my profile pic hen. She’ll be 4 in May so who knows when or if she’ll lay again.
