My girls’ new favorite place to lay eggs is the cat taxi. I will put curtains on the nest boxes, and if that STILL doesn’t work I will accept defeat and put in another cat taxi and a beach rake for under-box egg grabbing.

My chickens did exactly the same for a while. They do not take instructions well.

My chickens like taking over all of my cat's areas. Here is my rooster telling a new egg layer to lay an egg in the cat's bed. I found three eggs there today, so apparently my hens obey him a lot more than they obey me .

3 duck eggs & 24 chicken eggs! Getting rid of some hens tomorrow, so my egg numbers will drop drastically.

Better! I got one. Just 1 egg! And this is when the stores are running out of eggs and my mom (who will only eat eggs for breakfast) is frantically searching for them and buying wherever she can find them.
