Out of how many chickens? 'Only' is relative considering that I 'only' got 2 eggs from 2 hens today.

12. 15 yesterday, I think. Cold yesterday and overcast. Warmer today (60s) but very humid, raining this afternoon and tornado watches and warnings after dark. I don't know about my hennies, but I can sure feel the drop in barometric pressure in my knee, ankle and "inward parts." Maybe they feel it too. They still seem busy and full of joy, though. Joie de vive... happy to be alive. Me too!

Looks like today is gonna be 4 , one of the Red Stars and one of the Barred Rocks are taking a day off .

Edit ; Well , that other Barred Rock didn't take a day off , she just started late today . 5 total

In the last week, while I was gone, and through yesterday - 8.5 dozen. Ate 6 yesterday (omelettes for 3), delivering 8 dozen today. Will likely have another dozen plus when I get home from delivering and shopping.

Wow that's a lot of chickens! And not even counting roosters or young 'uns! I could say, 'I only got 2 eggs out of 19 chickens' implying that all my hens are slackers, but that wouldn't be fair because there are only 3 adults and one of those is a rooster!

I have 64 hens, 6 roosters, and somewhere... I have a broody hen in hiding... I'm expecting her to show up with chicks in tow lol
