Got My First Egg Today

I got 4 out of 5 RIR along with my SLW lil cream colored egg. Now if the Diva EEs lay their normal two a day, I will have 7 out of 8 hens. I don't guess my rooster, Hercules will ever crank out that 9th egg!

I watched two change places, then Henny Penny finally departed and I found



A pretty good hiding place, and the reason I had only 1 egg yesterday after 4 the day before. I got 9 eggs total today, so the 5 hens are doing great, and having fun, too!

Sad though, one hen, went broody, sat in the nest where ALL the eggs were layed. Found her with blood on her comb! She's in isolation... recovering.

A pretty good week for eggs. Anywhere from 10-14 out of 15 this week.

Crossing my finger so that my 1 month old, Brown leghorns will be able to lay that many eggs when the are fully grown.
