How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My girls started laying for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I didn’t think they would start until spring but we’re getting 2-4 eggs per day from 6 chickens, a few of whom are still growing their combs.

We weren't getting eggs for a few days because when I would let our girls out for breakfast the would disappear. And I didn't know where they were going so for 3 day we only got 1 egg from our best and sweetest layer Pluto. But her sisters Charlie and Venus were off somewhere else slacking. One day I followed them and I fount it! I found magical honeypot with EGGS! They stopped layer there and started laying in the chicken after they found out I discovered it!

Two! I know that's pitiful compared to a lot of folk here, but I've only got the four pullets and they've just started laying. Or, at least two of them have. This is the first I've gotten more than one egg at a time.

I have 16 Dominique layers. They have given me an average of 12 eggs a day everyday for the last 5 months. Once or twice a month I will get 15 or 16.

10 of 15 today. It’s like they know I’m picking through the eggs for hatching so someone pooped all over 5 of them! Yuk!

0/5 ugh no eggs today I did get 2 yesterday but I didn't check their box before bed so early this morning there was a soft shell & fart egg both broken open I'm assuming from yesterday ..it was pouring down yesterday so i didn't check as much as I usually do.
