It does! I was really hoping I was wrong. I've been having lots of pecked or busted eggs lately. My grandson saw her trying to crack one, so I put her in a broody breaker just to see.... and I haven't had a broken egg since then.
I'm so bummed, she's such a friendly sweetheart I hate to have to get rid of her.

8 out of my 11 normal layers, and a rubber egg from my girl coming out of molt. At least this time it was in tact instead of a broken mess.

12 today. Everyone has graduated to the big coop. 5 new pullets added to the laying crew. Rusty gets a protege and 8 cockerels to grow out. The coop is gonna be a little crowded until I get my grow out pen built.
