How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

7 eggs! 1 came from my biggest, most developed Sapphire Gem. It was her first. I noticed one of them had been exploring the nests today. While I was checking the nests and getting ready to close them up for the night, she laid it in the run! She’ll get it figured out. I don’t think she likes the fake eggs though. She scratched 2 out of the nests. Should I just take them out?

We had 60*-70* weather most of last month. We just started hitting lows below 32*

I've been getting an average of just 1 egg per day from 3 hens for about a month now since I introduced 3 pullets and 2 cockerels into their run. They've also occasionally dropped their eggs while roosting in the coop instead of inside the laying box! These girls are just nervous wrecks!!

10 out of 24 from the new layers! DOUBLE DIGITS for the first time! One of the OE didn’t lay, so that means there at least 11 who have started! (Most of the eggs are medium brown, so I don’t know who laid what except for the cream, green & olive. No blue eggs from the 3 Easter Eggers yet, and I don’t think the Australorp have started yet either. Every other breed has at least 1 of the 3 in the group laying! (We bought all ours in groups of 3…easier to count them!)
