Pretty sure ima sell my 5 remaining Australorps. Broody, broody breed

They seem to be. I don't mind her keeping my eggs warm but I do have to go out and make sure she eats gets a drink. I think I will be culling my Australorps this year. I don't have a rooster there is no need for broodies.

I have 4 of them 3 have gone broody on me. My first broody was the one doing it now. She dropped her first egg and went broody.

Yeah, winter makes quail go to nearly 0 on egg production

Yesterday was 5 eggs, today 6. Everyone seems to be ok with the cold except my youngest pullet (not laying yet) has a few dark spots on her comb. Looks like a touch of frostbite. I rubbed some RX on it. Will keep an eye on her.
