That's stressful. I hope the bully gets an attitude adjustment.1 egg yesterday. And it had a bit of a peck mark in the shell (broke through). I'm hoping for 2-3 today....
I did some rearranging in the coop Saturday, and I bet that put a bit of a monkey wrench into the works. I have one girl in a makeshift "room" to herself, as she was getting bullied. Hopefully in a few days, I can let her back out and she'll stand up for herself. Because she was literally squatting for the bully, and getting pecked badly.
If this doesn't help, the bully is going into the time out room.
Yeah. This was a problem a few months ago, but it seemed to resolve itself. Until last week. That's stressful. I hope the bully gets an attitude adjustment.
Yes I've eaten cracked eggs and it's fineCame home to find 2 eggs for the first time ever. 1 on the ledge in front of the nest boxes (with a crack) and 1 in the nest box that rainbow doesn't use and Martha didn't use when she was laying. I think that both the June babies have layed their first eggs.
Is the cracked egg safe to eat? The membrane is intact and it's clean.
