Wow, your chooks are certainly devoted to those crepe myrtles! I wonder if a human can begin to understand what the attraction is? (As opposed to a nice, comfy, private nestbox?) At least you know where to look...

Yes, now that I’ve found their hiding place, it’s easy enough to locate the eggs. I wonder what the Seramas will do once they start laying again.

After they spent all day yesterday gorging on fresh fruit and veggies I wasn't sure how it would affect their egg output today. Well, all those produce scraps must've made them happy because they each gave me a nice egg today. I added 7 more to the tally!

4 yesterday but I believe one of them was from the night before as our buff orpington Lemon Pepper was sitting in the nest box at dinner time. Even so 3 is good considering our weather. Looking forward to seeing if it drops again or what XD
