11 today. Temp was in the 60s but it was gray and drizzly. It's been like this the past couple of days. We could use a bit of sunshine

9 today! Thought I would need a boat to go get eggs it rained all day long

Saturday I moved the straw pile, I got fed up climbing up there to find eggs, and finding some rolled off and broke. So I moved it and piled it with my other straw stack.

As predicted the girls pitch a huge hissy fit! But they all started laying in the nest boxes, well in two main nest boxes silly chooks - came home this afternoon and I had 9 eggs in one box and 5 in the other - I also found 1 in a third nestbox (I have 10 nest boxes don’t you know), and 1 huge egg in the cat crate they like to hang out in. So 16 eggs in total. My fridge has 13 dozen eggs and I have 2 more dozen in the feedroom to get cleaned - wish someone would come and buy them!

I am going to call this place Eggtopia (I actually live in Egbert hahaha no kidding!).
