3/21 again. Two browns and one pretty mint green. Hoping more start to lay soon, although I'm still very happy with the 3 that are laying already! All my girls are 21 weeks

I've been getting 5 eggs a day from 6 hens but only got 4 today and 6 one day last week, so it still averages out, lol.....

25 again today from our 30 GC's! Only 2 medium sized eggs today. The other 23 were large to x-large with one jumbo egg. I figure it's a double-yolker. It was another miserably hot day with 98F at 1:30 this afternoon but the Gals were keeping cool with the miser I set up in the run. I think it takes the temp down about 10 degrees from the outside. The Gals were all active and scratching for worms and bugs that were being forced out by the dampness. I ran it about an hour to give them a nice break. Then we got a big thunderstorm about 6:00 and that cooled things down to about 78F. Big relief! Supposed to be cooler tomorrow and Tuesday here in the Central Carolinas but it gets hot again on Wednesday. It is truly a Long Hot Summer...
