6 eggs today. Gave 18 eggs to my friends that came down to visit yesterday.

One of my little chicks, Ichi, is not doing well. Spent the day trying to get her to eat, with not much success.

Edit: Ichi passed away overnight. She was such a sweet little one, I’ll miss her.

Ok so today I got 3 hen eggs and 2 pullet eggs! They’re so cute! I have 4 hens and 4 pullets.

The hens are struggling through this heatwave we’re having, and it’s only going to get worse over the next week. We’re making them a temporary pen in my husband’s shop, so they can stay cool through the heat of the day, hopefully.

Each of the girls gave me an egg this morning, so 7 eggs. The nest box must've been crowded this morning because one hen's aim was off and her egg landed on the wooden side of the box and cracked.
